Publishing Process
1. Submit Your Manuscript
Kizhakku proudly publishes some of the most recognized voices in both non-fiction and fiction, spanning a wide range of genres. We’re constantly seeking fresh talent and compelling stories.
We welcome unsolicited submissions in English and Tamil across genres including non-fiction and fiction (for adults and children), biography, current affairs, and self-help.
If you have a strong idea for a book please send us a detailed proposal that includes:
– A synopsis of your work
– The first three sample chapters
– A brief note about yourself with contact details

All submissions should be typed in a clear, legible font (use Unicode encoding for Tamil text).
2. Review & Approval
Please allow 4-6 weeks for your manuscript to be reviewed. Our experienced editorial panel conducts a thorough three-stage evaluation process assessing content quality, market potential, and alignment with our publishing vision. The initial screening verifies basic requirements, followed by a substantive review of the manuscript’s merit and originality. Final selection considers current market trends and reader preferences. If you haven’t heard from us within 12 weeks, it means we won’t be proceeding with your proposal or manuscript. If your manuscript is shortlisted, we’ll reach out to request the complete manuscript.
